2021 – The Advocate Podcast

We participated in a podcast with The Advocate to raise awareness of dystonia and our activities. The Advocate is an online media service which is dedicated to promoting the activities of not-for-profit organisations and charities. Our Vice-President Denise Duclos was interviewed by podcast producer Carla Wijaya about Dystonia, DNA and supporting people with Dystonia.

2020 – Australian of the Year Dr James Muecke reveals he has dystonia

2019 – ABC Health Report on Dystonia

The ABC radio program ‘Health Report’ produced an episode on dystonia during Dystonia Awareness Week in 2019. DNA members Robyn and Paul told their stories about dystonia. DNA advisory board member A/Prof Victor Fung spoke about botox and its effectiveness for treating dystonia. Advisory board member A/Prof Stephen Tisch spoke about movement disorders, a new MRI and gaps in gene research. Advisory board member A/Prof Lynley Bradnam spoke about different types of dystonia, its history and DBS surgery. Listen to the program here


2015 – Interview with Dr Kishore Kumar

Movement disorder neurologist Dr Kishore Kumar was interviewed by the Dubbo Weekender about different types of dystonia, using genome sequencing to study dystonia and the facilitation of this research by the Paul Ainsworth Family Foundation. Read the article here.
